In-House SEM communications interview
I recently had the fortune to be interviewed by Jessica Bowman of Business.com and www.seminhouse.com fame.
I’ve spoken with Jessica a couple times at SES shows and hold her in high regard. She clearly knows her stuff and is happy to share with folks too.
Our recent interview centered on internal communication issues and how, as an in-house SEM, you can learn to deal with them. It’s a very real challenge for most of us, and if you… bury your head in the sand on this issue, it’ll bury you when you least expect it.
We chatted about real-world examples and ideas that can help you start to build the internal relationships you need - today. It’s basic relationship-building type stuff, but it bears reviewing if you find yourself asking IT or SysAdmin folks to do things for you. You might be shocked how far you can stretch that $1.09 coffee you buy someone.
